Buongiorno

Buongiorno uit Italië! Mijn excuses voor de afwezigheid maar ik ben al een weekje in vakantiemodus. Leuk nieuws bereikte mij enkele dagen geleden via sms: ik ben deze week gefeatured op Belmodo.tv als Blog To Watch. A dream came true... hehe ;-) Deze outfitfoto's zijn vorige week gemaakt in Brussel, met Katrien (of Justine, ik weet het niet meer zo goed) achter de camera. Ik droeg mijn nieuwe pull van Maison Scotch (cadeautje van mijn lief) en was nog de bleke versie van mijzelf. In dat laatste is ondertussen wel al verandering in gekomen, want hier in Italië is het zo'n 35°C. En daar ga ik nu weer wat van genieten... Tot volgende week! En verwacht jullie maar aan veel posts over deze reis want ik heb al ontzettend veel foto's genomen.

Double dress-up

Hola mis amigos! Yes, I'm still alive, don't you worry! I'm just not really into blogging at the moment - you know: exams, internship, no inspiration, warm temperatures... Past weekend was my cousine's wedding! I already made a lot of posts about it (about the outfit, the hair, etc.) so I simply could not hide these pictures from you. My mum made these shots of Floris - my boyfriend - and I before we left to congradualate the newly weds. Do you like my outfit? And my boyfriend's? And my hair? I have a story to tell you about that last one... On Saturdaymorning I went to the hairdresser to have a nonchalant, boho updo. My opinion about updo's is: it may not look like you went to the hairdresser (as in: tiny, ugly curls, a lot of pins, poofy and lots of hairspray). But! The opinion of Le Coiffeur was: "It must look like you went to the hairdresser, otherwise you shouldn't spend your money on it!". The result: I washed my hair immediatly after my visit to the hairdresser. And then I just putted a side-braid in it.

Anyway: the party was marvelous, splendid, perfect. From the celebration in church to the food to the afterparty! I danced 'till 6am and truly had an amazing time, together with my boyfriend and family! And a little headache the day after, but it was all worth it. Thank you, Serafien and Charles, for the wonderful evening!

A bit preppy

My second outfit in less than a month, woo-hoo! Katrien took these pictures of me after the swapping event I organised (remember?). A lot of people declined because of schoolwork, a concert... but that didn't made it less fun! The first picture is a bit 'my uniform'. The combination of my coat, a skinny jeans and ankle boots always works for me. Because my coat is so big and large, it only matches with a skinny jeans or a mini dress and tights - bootcut jeans or a loose pants is a big no go! The checkered shirt is one of the results of my swap night. It was a bit too big for Hester, but it fitted perfectly for me! Combined with my blazer it looks a bit preppy, no? And what do you think about my Isabel Marant lookalike booties?

Finally

After promising it for so long, finally: an outfit! I don't know what took me so long... but I think it's a combination between not daring to pose in 'open air' to not daring to ask someone to take my pictures to thinking my outfits aren't 'special' enough. But oh well, Katrien and I finally picked out a date to shoot some outfitpictures. The sun was shining, we found a nice place to shoot et voilà: an outfitpost! I just came back from class so this really is 'my outfit of the day'. Enjoy! And pleaaase tell me what you think...

MY OUTFIT | A touch of Selah and a touch of green

Hieperdepiep, HOERA! Mijn eerste outfitpost is een feit. Hoewel ik al wat verschillende outfitfoto's op mijn computer had staan heb ik ze niet om mijn blog gezet omdat ik vond dat ze ofwel nooit professioneel genoeg waren (met een statief werken is écht niet handig) ofwel dat ik te weinig foto's had (sorry Ellenski!). Maar goed... hier is 'ie dan... mijn eerste echte outfitpost... eindelijk. Je mag mijn outfit misschien 'gewoontjes' vinden, ik ben in ieder geval blij met de foto-kwaliteit (thanks broertje) en ik had genoeg foto's om van deze post een samenhangend geheel te maken - wat voor een perfectionist als ik (toch op vlak van bloggen) belangrijk is. En de titel? Wel euh, mijn kapsel is geïnspireerd op Selah Sue's always messy hair en ik vond dat er in de foto's opvallend veel 'groen' zat, vandaar dus ook de planten/bloemen als afwisseling met de foto's van mezelf (een blogpost vol met alleen maar foto's van mij zou ik maar vreemd vinden, ik vind het nu al zo raar om zoveel foto's van mezelf te zien). 

Een eerste outfitpost met een niet zo bijzondere outfit dus, maar wel een goed begin (zo schep ik niet te veel verwachtingen) if I may say. En good God, wat zou ik toch zijn zonder mijn 50mm lens?

My outfit in photobooth

Ik had vandaag zin in een outfit-post, maar aangezien ik geen personal photographer heb, was ik aangewezen op photobooth. Wat draag ik? Een truitje van H&M (pas gekocht, zie hier), een broek van Mango en schoenen van KoxKo. Grappig dat ik die 2 laatste juist vandaag aan heb, want ik geloof dat dit de 3e keer in 4 jaar tijd is dat ik deze witte jeans aandoe en de camel-kleurige botjes doe ik ook niet zo vaak aan. Een witte broek/jeans associeer ik vrijwel meteen aan 'f4shiiOnista's' of 'f4shiiOn-b0yz', ken je ze (hun topdagen zijn wel al een tijdje voorbij...)? Maar ach, vandaag had ik enkel een afspraak met de tandarts en voor de rest heb ik thuis wat voor school gewerkt, dus who cares dat ik een witte broek aan had? De tandarts in ieder geval niet! 

Excuse me voor mijn slordige kamer in de achtergrond, ik ben nu eenmaal niet de meest ordelijkste persoon op aarde.
